NY Now opens this Saturday, January 30, at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, and the market is gearing up to welcome new exhibitors and special guests.
“With just a few days to go, we couldn’t be more excited about the amazing lineup of exhibitors, guests, performances and more that await market attendees,” said Randi Mohr, vp/co-director, NY Now. “From exclusive product introductions and a growing list of new exhibitors, to star-studded guest appearances and exciting street performances, NY Now delivers an experience that can only be found in New York City.”
NY Now will welcome special guests to the winter market. On Sunday, January 31, Lionel Richie will be on hand in the afternoon to promote his Lionel Richie Home Collection in collaboration with Impulse Enterprises. On Monday, February 1, Marcus Lemonis of CNBC’s “The Profit” will be in attendance to celebrate the Biren & Co. line of candles.
The winter 2016 edition of NY Now will feature more than 2,400 exhibitors featuring 100,000 new and on-trend products throughout its collections, the company said. More than 400 vendors are joining NY Now for the first time. New in Tabletop + Gourmet Housewares, show management noted, are Cookut and Global America Group.
In addition, NY Now will present a full range of educational programming including 30 seminars addressing color, digital media, retail strategies and design trends in partnership with leading trade and consumer publications and industry associations. For example, NY Now is partnering with Score NYC to host two seminars, as well as run a series of 30-minute mini-coaching sessions for businesses that focus on opening new markets, reaching new customers and achieving new goals.
When the market floor closes each day, NY Now has arranged for a number of promotions and discounts at popular Manhattan destinations. “A Night on Broadway” returns with the brand-new musical, “On Your Feet” on February 2. Additional promotions include: free market week admission and shopping discount at MAD (Museum of Arts and Design); half off market week admission to The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum; and half off skate rentals at Bank of America winter village at Bryant Park.
NY Now will be held January 30 to February 3.
