NY Now and Shoppe Object have cancelled their fall markets, based on recent developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Emerald Expositions, which manages NY Now, the NY Now Fall Edition was scheduled to be held October 18 to 20 at the Jacob Javits Center. Shoppe Object was scheduled to be held at Pier 36, October 20 to 22.
“We are naturally disappointed not to have the opportunity to bring our community together face-to-face in New York City,” said Tim Hart, svp/NY Now. “However, we remain committed to finding ways to connect our brands, designers, makers and retailers with NY Now’s hallmark spirit of discovery.”
Hart added that NY Now will now turn its attention to its winter edition in 2021, as well as its digital offerings and will offer updates as they become available.
Shoppe Object stated that it too will focus on its winter edition, planned for February 2021. It is also launching an online experience titled Shoppe On, a platform the organization has been building that will offer what it said is thoughtful, curated and dynamic content for its community.
