O-Cedar has relaunched its Scrunge scrubber sponge line. According to the company, the new version features additional advantages. O-Cedar stated that the thicker sponge absorbs more water and its wave shape makes it easy for consumers to grip and use.
The company said the Scrunge rinses clean to prevent odors, last longer than regular scrub sponges and cleans without scratching, making it safe to use on Teflon-coated cookware. It is available in multi-use and heavy-duty varieties and comes in a variety of consumer-friendly colors.
To support the relaunch, O-Cedar will be distributing free samples at upcoming food fests. According to the company, brand ambassadors will be handing out free samples on Saturday, September 26, at Chicago Gourmet in Millennium Park, a culinary all-star weekend featuring 180 premiere chefs and restaurants and over 175 wine, beer and spirit makers.
In addition, O-Cedar Scrunge sponges is a sponsor of the Texas Trucklandia Fest, a food truck taste-off and trailer crawl with over 60 food trucks participating in various locations throughout Austin. O-Cedar said it would be sampling its Scrunge sponges at the Midway Food Park in Westlake on Saturday, October 17.
“Consumers told us they want a scrub sponge that lasts longer and doesn’t pill or fray like the competition. Through our proprietary technology we created a scrub sponge that lasts 20% longer than regular scrub sponges,” said Jeff Clark, senior business development manager, O-Cedar.
The O-Cedar Scrunge sponge is available at HEB, Winn-Dixie, ShopRite, Amazon.com and other retailers.
