Office Depot is launching a new operation, dubbed BizBox, that will provide start-ups and small businesses access to the core services needed to start and grow their operations.
Businesses interested can access the new operation online at MyBizBox.com. The service features a subscription model with monthly fees starting at $99. BizBox members can access experts who can identify services suited to their needs. Services range from accounting and legal services to website hosting and social marketing.
The company has been realigning the business to provide more small business services. The BizBox platform builds on Office Depot’s acquisition of CompuCom Systems, which the company purchased as part of a strategic evolution beyond traditional retail.
“Office Depot has been a partner and resource for small business owners since 1986,” said Gerry Smith, Office Depot CEO. “We have the ability to reach nine million small business customers through our touch points around the country. Uniting this deep expertise with the world-class IT services of CompuCom will help solve customer problems in a way few others are doing right now. The BizBox platform is an essential element of our commitment to innovation. We are energized to expand a business ecosystem of services, products and technology that builds on our legacy of helping small business owners succeed in a modern economy.”
