One Kings Lane is taking a new approach on upholstery furniture customization in an initiative that has debuted on its website and been linked to parent company Bed Bath & Beyond’s core online business.
Palette by One Kings Lane, which will provide print and pattern customization for upholstery furniture, will also launch at the One Kings Lane flagship store set to open in New York’s Soho neighborhood later this month.
The company developed Palette in partnership with what it characterized as the first print-on-demand furniture brand operating in the U.S., Cloth & Company. Palette by One Kings Lane uses new technology to make customizing furniture easier and more affordable, the e-tailer stated. It enables consumers to customize color and scale within an assortment of patterns while offering short lead times and complimentary shipping. Accent chairs in the Palette assortment on onekingslane.com currently start at $295.
The service leads consumers through four steps in designing their furniture pieces, dubbed Pick Your Frame & Pattern, Create Your Color Combination, Scale Your Pattern and Pick Your Hardware.
“The decision to build this platform has been inspired by our customers’ desire to bring their unique personal style point of view into their homes. Given all of the feedback we’ve heard from our customers, it was a natural step for us to develop Palette as a way to make upholstery customization easier and more accessible,” said Debbie Propst, president of One Kings Lane.
