Pantone Color Institute, the business unit within Pantone that highlights top seasonal runway colors, forecasts global color trends, and advises companies on color for product and brand visual identity, has taken its cue from the environment for the 2019 Color Of The Year: Living Coral.
Described by the color institute as an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge, Living Coral is said to provide comfort and buoyancy in a continually shifting environment.
“Color is an equalizing lens in which we experience our natural and digital realities, and this is especially true for Living Coral. With consumers craving human interaction and social connection, humanizing and heartening qualities displayed by the convivial Pantone Living Coral hit a responsive chord,” said Leatrice Eisman, executive director, Pantone Color Institute.
The 2018 Pantone Color Of The Year was Ultra Violet.
