Williams-Sonoma’s PBteen store chain has debuted its third product collection developed in collaboration with designers and stylists Emily Current and Meritt Elliott. The exclusive collection launched on PBteen.com and will officially launch in PBteen stores nationwide on September 18.
The Emily & Meritt for PBteen collection features vintage-inspired, yet modern, home furnishings and accessories, Williams-Sonoma stated. With more than 70 furniture, bedding, lighting, wall décor, decorative accessories and jewelry storage products, the collection ranges in price from $19 to $999.
Incorporating feminine, floral prints and edgy, skull details, the Emily & Meritt for PBteen collection re-imagines classic home essentials in artful styles meant to mix and match, Williams-Sonoma noted. Product highlights include an updated Gold Stripe Chaise embellished with classic tufting, the Bunny Ears Desk Chair, a playful but functional seating addition, and the Pirate Ship Lamp complete with denim shade. Gold is an important theme in the new collection, reflected in bedding such as the Gold Dot Quilt and Sham and decorative accessories such as the Gold Studded Trunk, Gold Anchor Pillow and Bunny Ear Easel Phone Holder.
In the immediate future, Current and Elliott will expand their partnership with Williams-Sonoma’s Pottery Barn Brands. They will design an exclusive nursery capsule collection in collaboration with Pottery Barn Kids slated to launch early next year.
“We are delighted with the newest exclusively-designed Emily & Meritt for PBteen collection,” said Sandra Stangl, president, Pottery Barn Brands. “They are true trendsetters and approach the design of each collection with a careful eye for curating high style and design in any room. Drawing on their artful spirit and design creativity, we are excited to announce we will be bringing this aesthetic to new parents with the launch of the Emily & Meritt for Pottery Barn Kids nursery collection expected to debut in January 2016.”
“We’re thrilled to debut our third collection with PBteen. Our journey with the brand has been a creative adventure and our newest range for teens is our most favorite yet,” said stylists and designers, Emily Current and Meritt Elliott. “As our relationship with the beloved Pottery Barn family has proven uniquely successful over the past few years, collaborating with Pottery Barn Kids was the natural evolution for our partnership. We both have little girls, and while Emily is now expecting her second child, designing nurseries feels even more personal and authentic than ever. Our point of view merges our love of American classics with denim and touches of whimsy. We love creating our own little world and look forward to inviting these sweet little customers into it.”
