Peugeot Enters Bakeware Segment With Appolia Ceramic Line

Peugeot has expanded into the bakeware segment with the Appolia ceramic bakeware line, an oven-glazed offering that is made in France with traditional methods and materials.

Created for flavorful cooking, the bakeware features clean, contemporary lines and comes in several colors: ecru, red, cobalt blue and slate gray.

The Appolia line can be used in the oven up to 480-degrees, and is also microwave-, freezer- and dishwasher-safe, the company said. Wide, grooved handles are designed to offer a safe grip, while rounded corners facilitate serving and cleaning. High edges expand capacity and allow the retention of cooking juices to preserve and express flavors. The different sizes are stackable, and they nest for space-saving storage.

The bakeware line is made of natural clay and kaolin and is lead-free and cadmium-free. Extra-strong enamels protect against scratching, and the non-stick glaze makes cleaning easy, the company said. The bakeware can go directly from freezer to oven thanks to its very high thermal and mechanical shock resistance, noted Peugeot.

The collection includes 8-inch, 10-inch and 13-inch rectangular bakers and 6.5-inch, 8.75-inch and 11.5-inch square bakers, plus round oven baking dishes with 8.75-inch and 11-inch diameters. White cardboard boxing showcases features and benefits while protecting the products and enhancing giftability.

The Peugeot Appolia bakeware will be available for shipment January 2019, with suggested retail prices from $27.50 to $50. The bakeware is backed by a 10-year warranty.
