Philips Sonicare has teamed up with celebrity fashion designer Adam Selman on its newest electric toothbrush, the DiamondClean Amethyst Edition. The company said the new DiamondClean toothbrush comes in deep purple and galactic designs.
The colors and metallic sheen of the latest addition to the DiamondClean range were inspired by space, explained Selman, who noted that both are hot trends in the fashion world.
“From the runways in New York, Paris, London and Milan to the latest glossy spreads, top designers have been employing both bold purple and galactic elements into their lines,” said Selman. “The combination creates a standout aesthetic that is unexpected and daring in a traditionally white space.”
Philips Sonicare said the DiamondClean Amethyst Edition is its premium whitening toothbrush. The company stated it delivers more brush strokes in two minutes than a regular manual toothbrush delivers in one month of use.
“With the launch of Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Amethyst Edition, we set out to meet two needs: first, to help consumers achieve their best oral health and second, to satisfy a desire for standout style and customization,” said Boon Lai, vp/marketing for Philips North America.
The company outlined the five brush strokes that the DiamondClean electric toothbrush range features: clean, the standard mode for a whole mouth clean; white, to remove surface stains to whiten teeth; polish, to brighten and polish teeth to bring out natural brilliance; gum care, to gently stimulate and massage gums; and sensitive, extra-gentle for sensitive teeth.
The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Amethyst Edition is available now for a suggested retail price of $219.99, at online retailers including Amazon, as well as the e-commerce sites of Target and Walmart. It will be available in-store at Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy and Kohl’s in August.
