Philips Sonicare For Kids Supports Brush Independence

Philips developed its Sonicare for Kids rechargeable power toothbrush as a healthcare tool that both parent and child can feel confident about. The product allows kids to assert a little independence in their everyday tasks while assuring parents that they are brushing effectively, Philips noted.

The new Philips Sonicare For Kids is equipped with the patented sonic technology available in other Philips Sonicare toothbrushes, which gently drives fluid between teeth and along the gum-line, the company pointed out. However, it designed the Sonicare for Kids with child-friendly features that encourage the development of healthy oral care habits while producing outstanding results even when children brush their teeth unsupervised. Unlike a manual toothbrush, which children may not be able to use properly, Philips Sonicare For Kids delivers more than 500 brush strokes per second, which removes 75% more plaque than a manual brush in hard to reach places, the company pointed out. Also, the driven fluid feature has the additional virtue of making the product especially effective for kids with braces.

The Sonicare for Kids package includes stickers that can personalize the product, a KidTimer that helps kids reach the dentist-recommended two-minute brushing duration, and a KidsPacer that prompts children to target different parts of the mouth.

Philips Sonicare For Kids has begun its roll out and can be found at Amazon, Target, Walmart, Meijer, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walgreen’s and other retailers, for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
