Progressive International has debuted several new gadgets to its Prepworks assortment of kitchenware.
The new dual peeler enables consumers to easily switch between straight and serrated blades by rotating the safety blade guard. The serrated blade is designed to peel soft-skinned produce like tomatoes and peaches, while the straight blade is meant for peeling apples, carrots and other firm produce. It also features an integrated potato eyer and has a comfortable non-slip grip.
Progressive has also added the multi-function jar opener. The new tool is designed to open jars, bottles, packages, cans and clamshell packaging. It can open jar lids that measure .5 to 4 inches wide. The flip-out packaging blade locks into place to open packages. It also comes with a bottle opener.
The new pocket produce brush has dual-length bristles designed to clean carrots, potatoes, beets and similar vegetables. The stiff bristles on the front are meant for detailed scrubbing, while the flexible bristles on the bottom gently clean produce. It has a low profile for compact storage.
The new Progressive kitchen tools have a suggested retail price range of $9.99 to $11.99.
