Progressive International Appoints Hood VP/Sales And Marketing

Progressive International Inc. has announced that Lance Hood has assumed the role of vp/sales in addition to his current role as vp/marketing. In this role, he will work closely with the company’s retail partners to integrate Progressive’s new multi brand product strategy— the company launched PL8, Prepworks and Prep Solutions brands in 2014— with Progressive’s multi channel sales platforms, the company said.

Hood will also continue to aid in the refinement of the company’s long-term strategy, including the development of new businesses and emerging product categories further benefitting customers. 

“Over the last three years, Hood has done an admirable job of building a multi-channel strategy, providing drive, interpersonal skills, and renewed focus to our creative and marketing group. I trust he will provide that same sense of leadership within the sales team and offer our retailers an even greater opportunity to partner more effectively with us in the future,” stated Kurt Bergquist, president and CEO, Progressive. 

Hood began his career at Progressive in the mid 80’s and later became the pioneer and creative architect of the company’s entry into the development of its own kitchenware products in the mid 90s, the company said. Hood is said to have provided creative drive and a strong “we can make it happen” work ethic that helped the company grow quickly in a competitive industry. In 1999 he assumed the position of vp/sales and marketing at Chef’n, after which he started two successful businesses. In 2011, he accepted the position of vp/marketing at Progressive.
