On September 28, Publix will begin testing a curbside grocery pickup service at two locations, Wesley Chapel and Valrico, FL.
The supermarket retailer also said that Atlanta metro area Publix stores will begin testing curbside pickup by the end of the year.
Customers can place orders on publix.com/curbside to initiate a pick up order. They then can choose curbside pickup or delivery at check out. Publix staffers will shop curbside orders for customers who opt to use the service.
“We’ve had great success with Publix Delivery powered by Instacart, and the demand for online grocery services has continued to grow. So we’re excited to test Publix Curbside and learn more about how to best meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Maria Brous, director of media and community relations, Publix.
