Lifetime Brands has shifted its design approach for the Rabbit brand of bar and wine accessories for 2019, bringing more of a modern, architectural point-of-view to suit the entertaining needs of consumers.
The shift, explained BJ Stein, division president, Lifetime Brands, is driven by changing consumer tastes, with influence and input by sister brand Chef’n, which shares product development and design teams at their home base in Seattle.
“We are seeing an enormous rise in how people are entertaining in the home and also sharing it on social media. They want to impress their guests but also show it to everyone out there as well. In addition, more consumers want to leave out their accessories on bar carts and also want them to be a part of the design of their house,” Stein said.
The new Rabbit Freezable Cocktail Maker is designed to make frozen cocktails in the freezer. The set includes a silicone cocktail carafe, neoprene sleeve, lid, muddler, stir spoon and recipe booklet to inspire consumers to make drinks such as margaritas, frosè and piña coladas. The maker crafts four to six servings and has a suggested retail price of $40.
The brand will also roll out the new Swizzle Ice Cube molds, designed to enable consumers to infuse ice spheres with fresh flavor to be added to cocktails, wine and other libations. The set of two molds, in the brand’s new speckled navy design, comes with recipe cards, two swizzle sticks and has a suggested retail price of $10.
The company has also included new ice cube trays. The King and Crushed ice trays both retail for $15.
