Remington’s Beard Boss team celebrated their facial hair and grooming style at the recent Austin Facial Hair Club’s 10th annual Come and Shave It competition.
According to the company, over 200 competitors brought their scruff to the table to compete across multiple facial hair categories. Remington was the exclusive sponsor of the “Six Month Sprint” competition. Each competitor in this category received a tool from the Remington Beard Boss trimming and grooming collection, featuring groomers specifically crafted to help men perfect their individual facial hair styles, the company said.
Remington’s 2016 Beard Boss team includes MJ Johnson, James McMahon, Jason Kiley and Ryan Lammey. Johnson, an active member of the bearding community and founder of the Minneapolis Beard and Moustache Club, was named a judge at the competition, McMahon won first place in the “goatee” category and Kiley took first in the “freestyle” category.
Nicole Graeve, associate product marketing manager at Spectrum Brands, Remington division, said, “Our Remington brand has been a global leader in grooming innovation since 1937, and we’re proud to work with our Beard Boss team to celebrate facial hair as a true expression of personal style. The Remington Beard Boss collection was designed to bring this inspiration to life and put men in control of their look.”
