According to published reports, Amazon has scheduled Prime Day for October 13.
The company originally targeted a September date. It put off the occasion due to complications in the marketplace related to COVID-19, observers reported.
Analysts and retail watchers have focused on this year’s Prime Day as a critical component to this year’s uncertain holiday season, given the effects of the coronavirus on the marketplace. Coresight Research published a prediction that Prime Day will generate about $8 billion in global sales, up from $2 billion during the event in 2019. It also forecast that Prime Day will surpass Black Friday and Cyber Monday in terms of U.S. shopper numbers.
