Ayesha Curry, cookbook author and star of “Ayesha’s Homemade” on The Food Network, plans to open a housewares store in Oakland, CA.
According to the San Francisco Business Times, Curry will feature a pop-up shop beginning February 1. However, while the store is being marketed as a pop-up shop, the media outlet explained that it will be there for an extended period of time. More details of the lease were not made public.
The store, which measures at 1,241-square-feet, will be stocked with the culinary figure’s Curry-branded lines of bedding, cookware, bakeware, kitchen textiles, accessories and indoor gardening kits.
Curry previously told HomeWorld Business that she was very involved with the design and development of her housewares line, which she launched in conjunction with Meyer Corp.
“I was extremely involved in the creation of the products. Everything from Pantone colors, finishes, design aesthetic, to the shape of all of my handles. It’s important to me because this line is going to represent me. I want it to be durable and timeless all while being affordable,” she said.
