A new report by the Associated Press said the Supreme Court of Delaware has upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit which claimed that DuPont Co. massively downplayed the cost of environmental liabilities imposed on spinoff company Chemours.
According to the report, the court ordered a one-page ruling that affirmed the dismissal.
In the lawsuit, which was filed in early 2019, Chemours alleged that DuPont did not properly disclose the cost of environmental liabilities the company would face due to the PFAS family of chemicals.
In April, the lawsuit was dismissed by a Delaware judge. Chemours then brought the case to the Delaware Supreme Court.
