Corelle Brands, whose houseware brands include Pyrex, Snapware and Corelle, said it is moving a portion of its manufacturing and distribution operations to the Chickasaw Trails Industrial Park in Marshall County, Mississippi, according to a recent news report.
The company plans to invest $27.7 million and create about 400 jobs by the end of June 2020 for the U.S. facility, according to the report in the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal.
Corelle Brands will open the facility in the Gateway Global Logistics Center inside the Chickasaw Trail Industrial Park. The company will lease an approximately 786,000-square-foot facility. Corelle’s announcement comes a month after Amazon said it was building a fulfillment center in the same industrial park, the report said.
In the report, Corelle Brands president and CEO Kenneth Wilkes said the Mississippi Development Authority’s and Marshall County’s partnership with the company, “was a key factor in our decision to locate this facility in Mississippi, a move that will improve our operational efficiency and customer service capabilities.”
