Liberty, a U.K.-based department store, is seeking to build its brand internationally and will be bringing its two brands— Liberty London and Liberty Flowers— to the United States and Italy, The Guardian has reported. The brand is seeking partnerships to build on agreements with Nike, Barbour, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue, the report stated.
Next month, The Guardian reported that Nordstrom will host pop-up shops featuring Liberty Flowers homewares in six of its U.S. stores, including New York, Seattle, San Francisco and Washington. A deal with a second U.S. department store is also in the works, the report said.
This is the second time the retailer has attempted international expansion. Under different ownership in 2007, a Liberty of London collection was brought to Bloomingdale’s, and in 2010 a floral print was featured in an exclusive range for Target.
