RH (Restoration Hardware) is preparing to launch its RH Teen collection. The new concept is positioned as a “tasteful, high quality” assortment of furniture, lighting, linens and décor for teens.
Launching in late September, RH Teen will have its own 200-page source book, website at www.rhteen.com and dedicated retail space in the company’s development of its design galleries.
“Today, teens have tremendous exposure to design through the multiple web and social media platforms and are becoming tastemakers in their own right. We believe that RH Teen represents an opportunity to infuse taste and style into a market that has been underserved,” said Gary Friedman, RH chairman and CEO.
He added, “RH Teen is another example of our ability to innovate, curate, and integrate new businesses and quickly scale them across multiple channels, further demonstrating the disruptive nature of our brand.”
The launch of RH Teen follows up on the company’s recently announced RH Modern collection, which will also debut in the fall. The retailer described RH Modern as a contemporary, curated furniture and décor collection that combines clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic with comfort and quality.
The RH Modern concept will launch in the fall with a 300-page source book, a dedicated website, and a retail presence, including a freestanding RH Modern store on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles. In addition, RH plans to devote the entire ground floor of its Flatiron gallery in New York City and entire floors in its next generation design galleries to the collection. Those design galleries include a newly opened location in Atlanta and locations in Chicago, Tampa, Denver and Austin, TX, slated to open later this year.
