RH has opened RH Denver, The Gallery at Cherry Creek. The company stated that RH Denver represents the latest edition of the brand’s next generation design gallery concept, which integrates a greater assortment of RH collections, including all of the brand’s current concepts and upcoming new businesses.
The new store incorporates nearly 70,000 total interior and exterior square feet, and features artistic abstractions and new collections of luxury home furnishings in a gallery setting, including significant presentations of RH’s newest formats, RH Modern and RH Teen. The second floor of the gallery features a 15,000-square-foot exhibition space for RH Modern, a curated assortment of modern furnishings, lighting and décor.
RH Denver anchors the new, luxury-focused wing of the Cherry Creek Shopping Center. Design architect James Gillam of Backen, Gillam & Kroeger worked with RH on the Denver Gallery design. Inside, a charcoal gray Venetian plaster exterior extends with over 100 pairs of glass-and-steel French doors that open onto a streetscape lined with Winter Gem boxwood hedges, geometric topiaries and flowering Chanticleer pear trees. An expanse of Juliet balconies, a lush garden terrace on level three and a rooftop park and conservatory with dozens of aspens further enhance the store atmosphere. At night, the building’s architectural details and gardens illuminate in a warm, painterly glow, the company maintained.
Visitors entering the Denver Gallery from East 1st Avenue pass through a dramatic series of three glass-and-steel arches towering 30 feet overhead, RH noted, and continue into the central hall with soaring 14-foot ceilings and a cast-stone Tuscan colonnade.
“Our vision with RH Denver is to create an aspirational space that blurs the lines between residential and retail, indoors and outdoors, physical and digital, reenergizing our surroundings and celebrating Colorado’s outdoor lifestyle,” stated RH chairman and CEO Gary Friedman.
