Riedel has introduced several new additions to its glassware assortment for the spring season.
The new Sunshine collection features pressed crystal with striated designs. The collection includes tumblers, highballs, beer, all-purpose and coupe glasses. The glasses have a suggested retail price of $34.90 per set of two.
Inspired by the delicate long-stemmed roses that grow near the company’s headquarters in the Austrian Alps, the Riedel Max stemware features the highest stems in Riedel’s machine-made collections. Atop the towering stems sit angular, diamond-shaped bowls for Cabernet, Riesling and Champagne. Each glass has a suggested retail price of $39.99.
In addition, Riedel has rolled out its Winewings assortment. The new glassware’s shape was inspired by the wings of an airplane, and features a sculptural expression of varietal specificity, in which the bowl is pushed upward to create a wider, flat-bottomed base. This creates the largest in-glass surface area and aeration space in any of Riedel’s collections. The collection is designed for: Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir/Nebbiolo, Syrah/Shiraz, Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Champagne. Each glass has a suggested retail price of $35.
