Rite Aid has named Paul Gilbert general counsel and corporate secretary. As general counsel, he will serve on Rite Aid’s executive leadership team and senior leadership team, and will assume leadership over the organization’s legal efforts.
Gilbert joined Rite Aid in an interim role on May 21, to assist with the company’s virtual annual meeting of stockholders, and other governance matters.
Before joining Rite Aid, Gilbert was a corporate health care partner at Epstein Becker & Green, P.C. Prior to that, he served for more than 10 years as the evp/chief legal officer and corporate governance officer at LifePoint Health.
“We believe Paul’s experience working with health care providers, integrated health networks, payors, and technology solutions will be an asset as we continue to implement our bold RxEvolution plan,” said Heyward Donigan, president and CEO, Rite Aid. “We’re excited to add his proven leadership and perspective to the team of senior leaders working toward a bright new future for Rite Aid.”
