It was a busy September and October for Ross Stores as the retailer in recent weeks opened 30 Ross Dress For Less locations and 12 DD’s Discounts stores.
With the openings, the company has now reached its store growth plans for fiscal 2019 that called for 98 new stores.
Currently, Ross under its Ross Dress for Less and DD’s Discounts brands operate 1,811 off-price apparel and home fashion stores in 39 states, the District of Columbia and Guam.
In addition to opening stores in existing markets, Ross also expanded its presence in the Midwest with new stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Nebraska and Ohio. The company also opened its first store in Virginia.
“Looking ahead, we remain confident in our ability to grow to 2,400 Ross Dress for Less and 600 DD’s Discounts locations over time,” said Jim Fassio, president and chief development officer, Ross Stores.
