On Friday, Ross Stores is opening its first location in downtown Chicago, the company announced. In expanding its presence in the Windy City metro area, Ross stated that it would also open two stores in suburban Chicagoland, at the Cicero Marketplace Shopping Center at 2945 South Cicero Avenue and New Lenox Town Center at 475 East Lincoln Highway.
The downtown store is located at 26 East Randolph Street. It offers 30,000 square feet of brand name apparel, shoes, accessories, gifts and home decor, the company noted.
“Chicago is an important market for Ross Dress for Less, and we’re excited to continue our expansion in the area with our first downtown location,” Gary Cribb, Ross executive vp/stores and loss prevention, said in announcing the openings. “Shoppers will now be able to find the latest styles at exceptional savings conveniently located in the Loop.”
In addition, on October 11, Ross indicated that it would open its second Jackson, MS, store at the Ridgewood Court Shopping Center.
The openings are part of a Ross 2014 expansion program that will entail debuting approximately 75 new locations. Currently the company operates about 1,200 stores in 33 states.
