Rowenta has announced the launch of the brand’s first widely distributed special edition iron: The DW4 Project Runway Iron. Rowenta has been the official garment care sponsor for the past five seasons of Project Runway, each season of Project Runway All-Stars and is now an official sponsor of Tim Gunn’s new series, Project Runway: Under The Gunn.
All contestants on the aforementioned series use Rowenta products in completing their original garments. In addition, Rowenta Brand Ambassador, Althea Harper, first became acquainted with Rowenta’s range of products during her time on “Season 6” of Project Runway and has remained aligned with the brand for the past three years, according to the company.
“Rowenta is excited to launch the DW4 Project Runway Iron,” said Michele Lupton, marketing communications director, Groupe SEB USA. “Our steam irons, steam stations and garment steamers have been the official garment care products utilized on Project Runway for the past five seasons. The launch of the DW4 Project Runway iron allows the Project Runway viewers to get closer to their favorite show.”
The DW4 Project Runway features a unique Autosteam distribution system that automatically adjusts the steam output to match the selected temperature or fabric. The iron also includes a 3-Way Auto Shut-off that turns the iron off in eight minutes if left vertically and turns the iron off in thirty seconds if left horizontally or is tipped over.
