Rubbermaid FreshWorks Food Storage Wins Invention Honors

Newell Brands’ Rubbermaid FreshWorks Countertop Food Storage Containers product line made the Time magazine annual list of the “50 Best Inventions.”

Rubbermaid developed FreshWorks products to help preserve the kind of produce consumers keep on countertops, and, so help families minimize spoilage, save money and cut down on store trips. The containers incorporate a FreshVent Lid technology that regulates the flow of gases in and out of the container, allowing for optimal moisture levels. In addition, the container design features an elevated base that helps with preservation by keeping contents away from moisture and promoting airflow.

“We launched the FreshWorks Food Storage Containers to help families keep produce fresher for longer, and we’re thrilled that Time has recognized our new FreshWorks Countertop series as one of the top inventions of the year,” said Ryan Hall, Rubbermaid marketing director. “Food waste is a major issue for consumers, and we hope that the FreshWorks Food Storage Containers will help prevent wasted produce and save people money along the way.”
