Rug Doctor has appointed Travis L. Lewis as the company’s new CEO.
Lewis joins the international manufacturer and marketer of compact, hot water extraction carpet cleaning machines, after serving as president of technology-based Inmar, Inc., and has previously held positions at The Home Depot, McKinsey & Company, and Procter & Gamble.
“Travis is a proven leader who has demonstrated an ability to drive growth in mature companies by building collaborative, high-performance teams, challenging conventional wisdom, and leveraging technology to create meaningful business value,” said acting Rug Doctor CEO and board member, Jack Shields.
Rug Doctor also announced in the same statement, that it has appointed James Foster as evp/sales and Janet Valentic as chief marketing officer. Foster has held executive-level sales positions with DeLonghi, Philips Consumer Lifestyle, General Electric/NBC Universal and Gillette. Valentic has held various senior marketing roles at Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Young & Rubicam Brands, Ford Motor Company, and Leo Burnett Advertising.
Headquartered in Plano, Texas, Rug Doctor’s carpet cleaning rental machines and line of carpet cleaning products are found in more than 33,000 grocery, drug, hardware, and home center stores across the U.S., according to the company.
