Sally Beauty Boosts Digital Operation With Metz, Lakshmi

Sally Beauty Holdings has appointed Kevin Metz vp/e-commerce and Vanathy Lakshmi vp/digital product.

The hiring of Metz and Lakshmi follows on the company’s recent announcement regarding investment in digital commerce talent and capabilities as part of its transformation strategy.

Metz will execute a growth plan for the North American e-commerce businesses that covers the Sally Beauty and Cosmo Prof websites, mobile apps, portals, integrations with physical retail stores and third-party online marketplaces, the retailer stated. Metz was chief marketing and digital officer with jewelry producer Stuller following e-commerce leadership positions at Ulta Beauty, Yankee Candle and Cache.

Lakshmi will oversee the digital guest experience and digital product roadmap across all Sally Beauty Holdings online activities, the retailer indicated. She joins Sally Beauty with more than 10 years of experience in product management, most recently as senior director of digital product at Walmart.
