Salutron Previews New Fitness Tracker At CES

Salutron, a developer of consumer fitness, heart rate and activity monitoring wearables, is previewing its new LifeTrak GEM fitness tracker at the 2015 CES show this week. The GEM’s design provides for flexible wear options, allowing consumers to choose a comfortable position to accurately track their heart rate from a variety of places on the body.

Geared towards enthusiasts interested in taking their fitness to the next level, noted the company, the GEM is said to provide accurate calorie burn and heart rate zones during cardio and calorie burn workouts. The new product is the first in LifeTrak’s new line focused on continuous heart rate monitoring and builds off of LifeTrak’s full line of 24-hour fitness trackers.

Also at CES this week, LifeTrak will be previewing the Zone C410w, a sleek new version of its Zone C410 fitness tracker. Designed for women, the new tracker will have an improved fit for small- to medium-sized wrists, a more streamlined design and a new color option as well. The company is also giving a sneak peek at its new Comfort Fit bands that are compatible with the Zone C410 and other LifeTrak fitness trackers. The new bands feature breathable designs, different sizes, new colors and supple materials.

The 2015 International CES show is taking place January 6-9 in Las Vegas.
