Sansaire has raised more than $250,000 through a Kickstarter campaign for its Sansaire Delta WiFi-enabled sous vide machine.
According to the company, the fund raising effort brought in a total of $256,804 over 30 days from more than 1,300 backers. Sansaire said it reached its goal of $100,000 within the first 17 hours of the month-long campaign.
The Sansaire Delta is designed with Wi-Fi connectivity and a new companion app. It is said by the company to offer enhanced time and temperature control when paired with the free app, which also features a recipe section with a broad variety of sous vide cooking ideas and tips.
Lukas Svec, the company’s co-founder and chief technology officer, said, “The world’s best chefs rely on sous vide because it provides precision results that cannot be replicated through any other cooking method. The Sansaire Delta will offer enhanced monitoring control via our new recipe app, and we strongly believe that the future of cooking lies in a seamless, integrated experience, which this app and new product will help to provide.”
“We’re so grateful to all of our backers for helping us to bring this singular cooking method and next generation sous vide machine to even more home chefs,” said Johnna Hobgood, CEO of Seattle-based Sansaire.
The Sansaire Delta is currently available for preorder on the Sansaire website, and will be available in retail in spring 2017. The Sansaire app is available now for iOS and Android, and can be downloaded for free on iTunes.
