Sears Holdings To Close Additional Locations

Sears Holdings is starting 2018 by closing 100 stores that consist of a mix of Sears and Kmart locations.

CNBC on Thursday reported that 64 Kmart stores and 39 Sears stores are expected to close between early March and April. Liquidation sales are expected to start January 12.

In a statement from Sears Holdings, company officials said the retailer would continue to close some unprofitable stores as it transforms its business model to allow its physical store footprint and digital capabilities to meet the needs of its shoppers.
