Simplehuman is expanding its line of cosmetic mirrors with the addition of two new products that will be on display at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The Sensor Mirror Hi-Fi and Sensor Mirror Hi-Fi Assist feature the company’s proprietary tru-lux light system with 95 CRI (color rendering index), which closely simulates natural sunlight shedding enhanced visibility on the subtle variations in makeup color, according to the company. Both models introduce “night shift,” a setting that shifts to softer, more-relaxing light to promote better sleep.
The mirror also offers audio capability that can be streamed via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi for devices operating AirPlay 2. Company officials said this allows for uninterrupted texts and calls while listening as well as pairing with other speaker systems in the home.
Both models also work in tandem with the simplehuman app, which allows consumers to unlock additional features for setting alarms as well as increased control over sound, lighting and sensor activity. The Sensor Mirror Hi-Fi Assist model also works with the Google Assistant, enabling hands-free vocal commands of certain audio functions.
The Sensor Mirror Hi-Fi and Sensor Mirror Hi-Fi Assist will be available in spring 2019 for a suggested retail price of $350 and $400 respectively at simplehuman.com and brick-and-mortar retailers nationwide.
