SodaStream Launching Commercial Business Division

PepsiCo is expanding the SodaStream brand into away-from-home channels with the introduction of SodaStream Professional, an eco-friendly hydration platform.

Following a successful pilot test with key customers, the mobile-enabled platform will allow people to personalize and digitally track their water-forward beverage intake while cutting back on plastic bottles, the company said. The brand will roll out commercially this fall.

With the new platform, users can choose from various unsweetened flavors, carbonation levels and temperatures to create their sparkling water or drink. Consumers also can record their favorite drink combinations, set hydration goals and track how many plastic bottles they’ve saved to date, all through the accompanying SodaStream Connect mobile app.

“SodaStream Professional offers a unique way for consumers to personalize great-tasting hydration and reduce single-use packaging at the same time,” said Scott Finlow, chief marketing officer, PepsiCo food service. “We’re thrilled to bring these hallmarks of the SodaStream brand to channels outside the home for the first time.”
