In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, furnishings manufacturer South Shore Furniture has recalled its Libra style three-drawer chests due to tip-over and entrapment hazards.
The recalled products can be unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children, the CPSC reported.
Consumers can ask for a refund or repair. The recall date was May 9, and it covers about 310,000 chests sold in the U.S. and 6,900 chests sold in Canada. The chests were sold online at Walmart.com, Amazon.com, Target.com and other online retailers from October 2009 through July 2018 for about $60.
