Staples, Inc. has announced a partnership with Steelcase Inc. to offer high-performance workplace furnishings. The initiative is designed to target small business owners. The retailer reported that it would offer product generated under the partnership with Steelcase on Staples.com beginning in the second half of 2014.
The product line will include Steelcase seating and table solutions. Staples customers can design their workspace layouts with high-performance, ergonomic Steelcase seating solutions including global bestsellers like Leap, Think, cobi, QiVi, Amia and Buoy chairs and more, the company maintained.
Steelcase has a history of studying the physical, cognitive and emotional needs of people in the places where they work, Staples pointed out. The company’s recent research on small and emerging companies revealed the particular culture and values of small businesses, and attempts to address them, Staples asserted.
“Through our new partnership, we’re giving small business customers access to the expertise, craftsmanship, design and innovation of Steelcase,” said Mike Edwards, executive vice president of merchandising, Staples.
