Students To Boost Twin Star Style Takeover At High Point

Visitors to the Twin Star Home Fall High Point Market showroom will not only get a look at displays arranged in the company’s Style Takeover initiative but also support a design and merchandising education effort.

Atlanta-based designer and television personality Michel Smith Boyd, and Columbia, South Carolina designer Christy Davis will create coordinated showroom displays for the ongoing Style Takeover that will give showgoers a sense of the merchandising and decorating possibilities that Twin Star products provide. In addition, for the first time, the Style Takeover will include a hands-on professional learning experience for selected design and merchandising students from East Carolina and High Point universities. They will intern for Twin Star at the market, teaming up with Boyd and Davis.

“Mentoring is an important value to us at Twin Star Home,” said Lisa Cody, the company’s vp/marketing. “Having design students involved in the Style Takeover is a natural evolution of the concept, which is about bringing a fresh, consumer-focused perspective to our showroom and products. We are so excited to bring Michel and Christy back and are so appreciative of their partnership in mentoring our interns.”
