T.J. Maxx is adding a new store in Miami, making it the 20th store in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area for the off-price retailer. The Fountain Square, W. Flagler Street location opens on Sunday, April 12, and will offer a wide selection of high quality and brand name items from fashion and accessories to beauty, pet products, toys, home essentials and more.
“We are pleased to expand our store base in Miami, delivering value and an exciting selection of merchandise to serve the needs of customers,” said Richard Sherr, president of T.J. Maxx.
The new Fountain Square T.J. Maxx store will occupy 23,000 square feet of retail space. Store features include easy to shop layouts, bright and spacious dressing rooms and single line queue for faster checkouts, said the company.
Along with the new store, the majority of the retailer’s stores in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market will be joining in grand opening festivities for what it termed a “Maxx Miami Celebration.” All participating stores will open at 8 a.m. on April 12, and the first 1,000 customers at each store will receive a free reusable bag. There will also be live entertainment, gift card prizes and giveaways. The new store will also make a $5,000 donation to the International Rescue Committee in conjunction with its opening.
T.J. Maxx operates more than 1,000 stores spanning 49 states and Puerto Rico.
