Tacony has expanded its licensed line of Maytag vacuums at the International Home + Housewares Show with a new cordless option.
According to the company, the model M600 cordless vacuum uses a 44-volt lithium ion batteries that will not fade during use. The battery charge on the unit can be monitored by pressing a button on the back of the vacuum, which indicates how many “green bars” are left. The Maytag cordless M600 provides over an hour of cleaning on a single charge and when completely drained can fully recharge in two hours.
“We’ve done some fun math calculations and discovered that on a single charge, you can vacuum over four and a half miles or over 12,000 square feet,” said Joy Petty, Tacony director of marketing. “Some of our testers reported only charging the vacuum every few weeks.”
Like all Maytag vacuums in the assortment, the M600 is assembled in the U.S., the company said. It also includes a four-year warranty and the battery on the vacuum includes a two-year warranty. It will be available in fall 2016 at MAP pricing of $499.99.
