CSC Generation Holdings, which recently bought the rights to the Bon-Ton and Carson’s retail brands, is looking beyond digital where it has revived the business, and could open up 100 stores over the next few years, the company’s CEO Justin Yoshimura told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The Bon-Ton Stores said it has received a signed letter of intent from an investor group composed of DW Partners, Namdar Realty Group including its partner Mason Asset Management, and Washington Prime Group to acquire the department store retailer as a going concern in a bankruptcy court-supervised sale process.
The Bon-Ton has released through a public filing a turnaround plan that includes the possibility of shutting more than 40 locations and placing greater emphasis on e-commerce.
Pier 1 Imports has appointed Nancy Walsh as evp/chief financial officer, effective January 25.
Bon-Ton Stores has promoted Chad Stauffer to president of merchandising and marketing, effective immediately.
