With the holidays just over and seasonal results awaiting announcement, Walmart has made a number of executive changes including the replacement of evp/chief merchandising officer Steve Bratspies in the U.S. business by Scott McCall and the appointment of Dacona Smith as COO Walmart U.S.

Libbey Inc. has appointed Juan Amezquita as the company’s svp/chief financial officer and treasurer, effective January 13, 2020. He succeeds James Burmeister, who has served as Libbey’s CFO since March 2017. Burmeister will remain at the company as svp/chief operating officer.
Rite Aid has appointed Jim Peters as the company’s chief operating officer. Peters will lead all aspects of Rite Aid’s pharmacy and clinical strategy development and execution; health plan, health system and strategic corporate relationships; marketing and merchandising; corporate development, strategy and communications.
Wayfair’s James Savarese, chief operating officer, and John Mulliken, chief technology officer, are retiring from the company. In addition, Thomas Netzer and Allan Lyall, both currently executives in its European business, have received promotions.
Pacific Market International (PMI) has named David Parker as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of the company. Parker will have global responsibility for the finance, accounting, supply chain, IT, legal and business transformation functions of PMI. He will report to CEO Bob Keller.
Conn’s reported its first comparable sales gains in three years and the promotion of John Davis to the post of president of credit and collections.
Lowe’s has appointed Richard Maltsbarger, currently chief development officer and president, international, to chief operating officer, effective February 3, 2018.
