Dollar General Celebrates Opening Of 16,000th Store

Dollar General has celebrated the grand opening of its 16,000th store in Panama City, Florida. The company celebrated the milestone with a community celebration and donations to two local elementary schools at its new store, which will serve Gulf Coast residents still rebuilding from Hurricane Michael in October 2018.

IHA Teams With Good360 For Hurricane Michael Relief

Regions of the country impacted by Hurricane Michael can receive assistance from Good360, the charity the International Housewares Association has partnered with to provide hurricane victims with home goods products as they rebuild their lives and homes. Last month, IHA partnered with Good360 to help the Carolinas recover from Hurricane Florence.

Albertsons Raises $8 Million For Hurricane Relief Efforts

As part of its charitable efforts, Albertsons Companies said that in the span of 21 days, its customers and employees helped raise more than $8 million in disaster relief donations for the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma through a point-of-sale campaign at its 2,300-plus stores.
