As it looks forward to the holidays, Target is keeping up the promotional pressure, and countering aggressive discounting from key rivals Amazon and Walmart, even as it trumpets the success of its October 13 to 14 Deal Days effort.
Target Deal Days
Target is bringing back its Target Deal Days on October 13 and 14, the same dates as Amazon’s Prime Day. Target’s Deal Days will kick off a holiday season that will feature nearly 1 million more deals than last year, Black Friday pricing all November long and an extended price match guarantee.
According to Target, millions of customers shopped hundreds of thousands of items across the retailer’s assortment— from home décor and housewares to clothing, toys, electronics and more— during Target’s Deal Days, two days of online savings on July 15 and 16.
Housewares and home products will play a key role in Target’s Deal Days promotions that will run over two days beginning July 15. Sale items will be available at Target.com.
Following Amazon’s announcement of its annual Prime Day, which this year will be held over two days on July 15 and July 16, Target will go head-to-head with the e-commerce giant with its Target Deal Days.
