McKenna Named Walmart International CEO

Wal-Mart Stores has promoted Judith McKenna to the position of president and CEO of Walmart International. McKenna, who has been evp and COO at Walmart U.S., will assume her new role on February 1 and will report to Walmart president and CEO, Doug McMillon.

Walmart Shortens Name To Reflect Omnichannel Efforts

Reflecting what it termed its growing status as an omnichannel retailer, Walmart plans to change the company’s legal name from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. to Walmart Inc., effective February 1, 2018.

Walmart: Momentum, Investments Will Drive Results

As part of its 2016 investment community meeting, Wal-Mart Stores said it plans to outline the company’s strategic framework to its omnichannel strategy, which includes continued investment in digital products and integration of Jet.com into more comprehensive Internet operations.
