Target.com Sets One-Day Sale To Combat Amazon’s Prime Day

Target is going head-to-head with Amazon’s annual Prime Day sale with its own one-day sale on Target.com set for Tuesday, July 17.

Noting that all sales are offered to shoppers with “no membership required,” the retailer said it is offering dozens of deals on Target.com in product categories including furniture and home, kitchen gadgets, beauty and personal care, toys and electronics.

The retailer will be offering 30% off Target-exclusive home brands; sales on cookware, small appliances and floor care; and 25% off beauty and personal care products.

In addition, those shoppers who spend a minimum of $100 on Target.com on July 17 will receive a free six-month membership for same-day delivery, shopped by Shipt (a nearly $50 savings). In addition, shoppers will also receive free shipping on next-day Target Restock delivery orders on July 17.

Earlier in July, Amazon said its annual Prime Day would begin on July 16 at noon Pacific Time and 3 p.m. Eastern Time, running through July 17, extending the sale from 30 hours to 36 hours. More than one million deals exclusively for Prime members in the U.S. and around the world, as well as associated bargains at Whole Foods Market stores, will be offered.
