Target is ready with spring home introductions that include natural and neutral colors, handcrafted looks and the first furniture to emerge from its Hearth & Hand with Magnolia partnership.
The furniture extension of Hearth & Hand with Magnolia is introducing items such as hairpin console tables, accent benches and dining chairs. Designed with Magnolia’s Joanna Gaines, the Hearth & Hand furniture incorporates a casually elegant approach to style and launches online December 26 with select pieces to follow in store.
Target is responding to consumer trends by introducing woven baskets, trays, bowls and vases to organize rooms even as it enhances them. Beyond the storage in sight trend, Target is responding to the popularity of global and handmade looks with pieces in its private label Opalhouse furnishings collection crafted by Rwandan and South African artists.
The retailer maintained that it is promoting relaxing looks by piling on fresh whites, textured neutrals and soft hues while simultaneously bringing nature indoors with materials like woven grasses, bamboo, rattan, raw wood and linen. To enliven things further, Target is debuting floral pieces developed by its own in-house artists including vases and prints, which also serve as direct tie-ins to the spring season.
“After the holiday hustle, our guests are craving a calm, organized environment,” said Jill Sando, Target svp/general merchandise manager, apparel and accessories and home. “Our spring home collection is bursting with new Target-exclusive pieces, including Hearth & Hand with Magnolia’s first foray into furniture. With tons of crisp whites, soft neutrals, natural textures and hand-painted floral embellishments, our guests can transform their everyday spaces into quiet retreats. It’s an affordable refresh for their homes and a breath of fresh air to start the New Year right.”
