Target Launching Made By Design Home Brand

Target is launching a new home brand, called Made By Design.

The assortment includes more than 750 products, which the retailer described as simple, affordable pieces designed to elevate every room in the home. The line will be rolled out to stores later this month and will be available year-round.

“Made By Design is the ultimate expression of our DNA— a commitment to the democratization of impeccable design,” said Mark Tritton, evp/chief merchandising officer, Target. “This line is filled with beautiful, purposeful pieces that consumers can count on for superior quality, style and value season after season. It’s the perfect foundational brand to complement our assortment, which now features more distinct aesthetics than ever to help every guest make their house a home that truly reflects their unique personalities and preferences.”

Over the past year, Target has rolled out or expanded several diverse home brands, including Threshold, Project 62, Hearth & Hand with Magnolia and Opalhouse. After consumer research, Target aimed to provide customers, including those establishing their first homes, quality everyday items that will simplify and complement their lifestyles, the company said. The Made By Design products are backed by a one-year guarantee return policy.

Highlights of Made By Design include cookware in stainless steel and ceramic-coated options with design touches like pour spouts, lids with built-in strainers and easy-grip, silicone-covered handles. An eight-piece ceramic set is $90. Baking sheets in the line feature formed edges to resist warping, long-lasting aluminized steel and a non-stick coating, starting at $8.

In dinnerware, glass plates and bowls are said to be durable enough to withstand toddler life, but elegant enough for a dinner party. Starting at only $2, they’re stackable, space-saving, microwave safe and thermal shock resistant. Tableware in the line also includes stemless, stackable wine glasses.

In organization, Made By Design includes closet items such as adjustable hanging shelves and stackable bins and boxes that can mix and match.

Made By Design will be available in all Target stores and online beginning June 23. Prices range from $1 to $260 for bedding, bath accessories, storage solutions, kitchen tools and furniture, with most items less than $30.
