As Target continues moving forward with its store remodel plans, the retailer is now giving consumers a look at its new store layout.
The retailer on its blog has posted a video walk-through and photos of a remodeled Target location.
With plans to give 1,000 stores a significant facelift by the end of 2020, each store is being customized to meet the needs of shoppers in the surrounding community, according to the company. There will also be common elements in all stores that include order pickup, designated drive-up lanes and new design features including brighter LED lighting and new store décor.
In addition, areas of the stores including home, housewares and food have been remade to create “inspiring experiences” for shoppers, company officials said.
In a recent interview with the Minneapolis StarTribune, company CEO Brian Cornell said the store remodel efforts were driven by a desire to make Target “America’s easiest place to shop.”
The report noted that Target has spent about two-thirds of the $7 billion earmarked for store remodels on more than 400 locations.
