Target has been rolling out new private labels and is preparing a new furniture collection with a modern look, called Project 62.
Project 62 references 1962, the year Target emerged in Minnesota. The modern look of the furniture takes some inspiration from mid-century modern design, in keeping with the theme, but also has some trending touches, such as hairpin-style legs in the case of an accent chair. The retailer also is introducing trending pink color tones in the line, and small-space scale. The company is also highlighting coordinating items in its product lineup from home decor to barware.
Although product prices were not generally listed in an email marketing campaign featuring the line, Target did list an accent chair in blush-tone upholstery at $129.99 on the brand landing page. Ottomans and accent tables will list for less than $150, while lighting starts at $19.99.
Target set the launch date for the Project 62 brand as September 19.
